El Alma de Gigantes
We are in the Barcelos region in the heart of the Brazilian Amazon forest, an area considered the world capital of sport fishing. Privileged by its lush ecosystems and diversity of fish, where the main star is the Peacock Bass (Cichla Temensis) “Tucunaré Azul” for the locals, a fish that attracts sport fishermen from all over the world, for its voracity, strength and aggressiveness in attacking artificial baits both fly and spinning. Other species that can be caught are: Pirararas, Piraíbas, Surubins, Aruanãs, Apapás and many others.
We are on the banks of the middle Rio Negro, about 500 km by river from Manaus, with the possibility of fishing in numerous of its tributaries. This relative isolation and other factors make agricultural development in the vicinity impossible, ensuring an excellent state of conservation of the region. The climate is tropical, with an average temperature between 28º C and 38º C during the day, and mild between 16º C and 26º C during the night.
Our operation is carried out via a regional-style boat with a very shallow draft (it sails in up to 70 cm of water), capable of reaching the sources of the rivers, even more preserved places, offering exclusive experiences to our customers. The ship has 7 double cabins with air conditioning.
We have an air-conditioned dining room so you can enjoy our delicious meals in comfort or even on the upper deck of the boat, offering breathtaking views of the Amazon landscapes.
Our eight launches have large platforms (central and bow) for each pair. They are equipped with 30 HP outboard engines, electric motors, batteries and beverage coolers. We provide specialized guidance for each couple.
Our team, made up of some of the best Brazilian fishing guides, is ready to provide anglers with an unforgettable experience, always valuing safety, comfort and productivity.
This operation offers passionate fishermen the chance to realize their dream of catching numerous Peacock bass, even large ones, with a quality/price ratio that is almost incredible when compared to other similar destinations.
